| This beach is about 3400' long and is located at the western edge of Huatulco. There are several restaurants located along the beach where you can get some great food. At this beach, the waves are small and the water is clear. This makes for great snorkeling/diving. There are several rocky formations close to the shore, allowing for plentiful sea life. To access this beach from land, you will start on the coastal highway and then travel down several long dirt roads to the smaller village located by the beach. You will end up having to pay for parking if you want to be near the beaches or restaurants. On the plus side, since it is more difficult to access, the tourists are fewer, making the beach feel even more private. This is one of my favorite beaches. |

Playa Arrocito
Playa Arrocito is located just before Tangolunda Bay in the resort town of Huatulco. Only 300 foot long, this great little playa was named as a result of the sand that looks like small grains of rice. Its name comes from that feature. The sand is very different from other beaches of Huatulco, it is a little thicker with small shell fragments mixed with rocks. Although not a large beach, is a favorite in Huatulco and is surrounded by luxury hotels, villas, single family homes and condos with spectacular ocean views. Read more about Playa Arrocito…
